Based in our Southaven, MS location, you will be hands-on working with our Manufacturing and Distribution teams to optimize our processes and develop methods and standards in a world-class facility. This position will report to the Manufacturing Manager and is predominately on-site in a manufacturing setting Monday through Friday, with some weekends as needed. AS AN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Develop manufacturing methods, procedures, and standard work instructions for the processing of new or improved products as well as the continued manufacturing of the existing product, including maintaining standards, variance reporting analysis, and indicating standards change.
Establish, audit, and maintain time standards and routings using proven work measurement techniques for the establishment of accurate standard costs. Update standards for methods change as per company policy.
Evolve equipment and facility layouts and related flow studies using, and consistent with, the industry standards and ergonomic principles.
Conduct work simplification and cost reduction studies by evaluating alternate methods of processing as influenced by equipment, tooling, and capacity analysis reports.
Lead and or participate as a member of the Lean and Six Sigma teams to facilitate the implementation of planned continuous improvement achievements and goals. Lead Kaizen events.
Utilize current manufacturing data management information systems and maintain records necessary to control the operations consistent with company policy.
Administer detailed cost analysis for management evaluation using current technology.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting techniques to resolve production and engineering opportunities.
Create long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
1-5 years experience in related Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering activities.
Requires knowledge of manufacturing practices and work measurement methodologies, Industrial Engineering analytical techniques, ergonomics, safety analysis, Minitab, ISO, and SPC.
Experience in using Lean-manufacturing tools and other continuous improvement methods is required.
A strong background in time-study methodology
Effective communication/interpersonal skills are required, along with good technical writing ability.
Requires excellent personal computer skills including Windows and Excel.
