Job Overview:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Factory Capacity Model
    • Measure and collect data to ensure accuracy of factory model
  • Responsible for collecting and analysing equipment utilization, cycle-time, personnel utilization and OEE data
  • Identify and drive improvement projects in tandem with operations and engineering organization
  • Support a broad range of projects to accomplish departmental tactical and strategic goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams to make improvements in processes and procedures
  • Provide ECO oversight for new parts by performing a technical review of ECO’s and then performing the material disposition by creating the new part routing and BOM entries

Education & Experience

BS Degree or Equivalent combined experience and education

3+ years minimum related experience.

Skills

Proven experience with high volume fabrication processes, process SOP’s, control plans and statistical process control

•       Proven experience developing and maintaining factory capacity models

•       Proven cross-functional project leadership success

•       Problem solving/RCA

•       Strong interpersonal skills

•       Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methods

•       Project management

•       Strong written communication (proposals, analysis, reports) and verbal communication skills (listening, making presentations)

•       Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Project (or similar software)

Working Conditions

Work in an office environment and climate-controlled manufacturing facility

  • Work in a Class 10/100/1000 clean room for extended periods
  • Wear full clean room attire
  • Work with and/or around chemicals such as acids and solvents
  • Minimum 40-hour workweek

Physical Requirements

Stand for up to 4 hours at a time

  • Lift up to 16-30 Pounds 
  • Push/Pull up to 51-75 pounds
  • Sit for up to 4 hours at a time

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards.  This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.  They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Quality and Environmental Responsibilities

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
