JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the ownership of staffing, material and equipment demands in the Resource Planning Guides for Operations. Manages the flow, standardization, data type and collection methods of operating information into the reporting tool, while supporting the Managing Operating System (MOS). Serves as liaison from Operations to IT for maintenance, upgrades, development and implementation for operational reporting tool.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, standardize and own motion/time studies, methodologies, and documentation to feed resource planning reports.
  • Develop seamless information flow from the shop floor to the LINCS reporting tool focusing on the clear, concise and true depiction of raw information to feed operating metrics.
  • Develop shop floor metrics to clearly depict where bottlenecks, cost, inefficiencies and opportunities exist, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize plant metrics to identify processes/procedures that can be improved to promote cost efficiency.
  • Actively promote and participate in the continuous improvement program, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma process.
  • Generate staffing, material and equipment standards to support new product introductions and properly evaluate cost/ROI.
  • Provide training to supervisors and above, as required, in support of the LINCS system and overall MOS systems.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field. ​
  • 5 years of manufacturing motion and time study experience.
  • Exposure to Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 5 years engineering project management and/or engineering/maintenance management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification or comparable problem-solving certification.
  • Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product.
