Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives within a highly automated distribution center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges through data analysis, process optimization, and warehouse automation.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a distribution center, warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment and has worked with automated material handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial engineering and operational improvement projects throughout the distribution center.
• Analyze workflows, labor utilization, travel paths, and facility layouts to improve productivity and throughput.
• Develop and track KPIs to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Gather and analyze operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions.
• Coordinate equipment installations, warehouse modifications, and automation projects while minimizing operational disruptions.
• Manage project timelines, vendors, contractors, and equipment implementation activities.
• Monitor project progress, communicate updates to leadership, and resolve project roadblocks.
• Support warehouse automation initiatives, including experience with ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) or similar material handling technologies.
• Spend approximately 60% of your time on the warehouse floor and 40% in the office supporting projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
• Experience supporting a distribution center, warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operation (manufacturing-only experience is not preferred)
• Experience developing KPIs and using operational data to drive continuous improvement
• Strong background in workflow analysis, labor optimization, facility layouts, and productivity improvements
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and equipment installation projects
• Experience with warehouse automation or material handling systems
• Experience with ASRS is strongly preferred
• Excellent project management and communication skills

• Experience with ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) or warehouse automation
• Strong background in continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization
• Local to Haslet, TX or willing to commute
