The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry to support process improvement, efficiency projects, and productivity initiatives. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing operations, reducing waste, improving throughput, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

This role will report to the Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Work On

  • Review and document current manufacturing processes to find ways to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost. Analyze daily operations, create and update various production layouts.
  • Develop and update regularly all production metrics like throughput, standard staffing and quality parameters.
  • Design and implement process improvements that increase yield, reduce waste, improve cycle times, eliminate bottlenecks, and support smooth operations—all while meeting food safety and quality standards.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead or support new equipment installations and modifications for the engineering department —from concept to start-up.
  • Use data analysis and statistics to find bottlenecks, process variation, and improvement opportunities, then apply data-driven solutions to boost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues collaboratively, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field like Industrial, Manufacturing or mechanical.
  • Relevant 2-4 years of food manufacturing or CPG industry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical recommendations in layman's terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and process modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Experience with process mapping, time studies, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, etc.).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in new equipment installation and designing process procedures.
  • Experience with automation, packaging, or high-speed food production lines.
  • Proficiency with CAD or simulation software (AutoCAD).
