Industrial Electrician – Journeyman

Shift/Schedule/Hours:
- Electrician schedules: 1st Shift:
7:00am – 3:30pm,
2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 10:30pm. Electrician schedule note* One role will eventually transition to afternoons after training; applicants can express shift preferences during the interview process.
Pay Rate/Salary:
- Industrial Electrician (Journeyman card holder): $43.35/hour
- *No Journeyman card? Apply years of experience to be considered at Apprentice Level: $34.68/ hour
- Full-time (40+ hours/week)

This Dearborn-based manufacturer operates a high production environment with three mills, a belt system, conveyors, dryer systems, and silos, requiring hands-on support and quick diagnostics. The company maintains over 125 motors and 1,000 sensors onsite and is committed to minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance, skilled trades leadership, and continuous improvement.
Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot new and existing equipment
- Perform electrical fault tracing from control systems to the equipment
- Replace motors, run conduit, and troubleshoot sensor-related failures
- Support Siemens PLC systems
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on electrical components (up to 480V, 3-phase)
- Maintain systems supporting mills, conveyors, dryers, silos, and motors
- Work with low- to high-voltage systems safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years of industrial electrical experience preferred
- Experience with new equipment installs and Siemens PLCs
- Ability to trace and repair faults, run conduit, and replace motors
- High attention to detail in reactive maintenance environments
