Tempel, a joint venture of Worthington Steel, is hiring a skilled Industrial Electrician to support critical stamping and annealing operations. This is a hands-on role where your electrical and PLC expertise directly keeps production running and makes a real impact every day.

Schedule and Bonus
1st Shift | 6:00am–2:00pm
$3,000 Sign-on Bonus

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Interpret ladder logic and electrical schematics to support troubleshooting and repairs
- Troubleshoot 480V motor control circuits, drives, and power distribution systems
- Test and validate electrical/electronic components (voltage, continuity, resistance)
- Respond to real-time production issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance and operations
You’ll be hands-on with presses and furnaces, solving problems as they happen and helping keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Equipment You’ll Work On
- Stamping presses and annealing furnaces
- Allen Bradley PLC-5 systems (legacy systems experience highly valued)
- AC/DC drives, VFDs, and servo systems
- Overhead cranes
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- 480V motor control circuits
What You Bring
- 5+ years (or equivalent hands-on experience) in industrial electrical maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC-5 preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical prints
- Experience with drives, motor controls, and automation systems
- Comfort working in a heavy manufacturing environment
Bonus points for experience with Rockwell legacy systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, or a journeyman certification.
