NOW HIRING: INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIANS

Entry-Level to Senior Industrial Electricians

Location: 531 Old Swede Road – Douglassville, PA 19518 (No remote work available)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00AM–1:30PM | Full-time on-site

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate starting at $24 to $45/hour based on experience, skills, and market data. Compensation will align with demonstrated industrial electrical experience, conduit fabrication skills, troubleshooting ability, and the ability to work independently.

At American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO), we're hiring Industrial Electricians at multiple experience levels, from individuals beginning their industrial electrical careers to highly experienced electricians capable of independently wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning complex electrical systems.

What This Role Really Is

This is a hands-on industrial electrical role focused on building custom overhead cranes, hoists, and engineered lifting systems.

You'll spend your time wiring equipment, installing motors and control systems, fabricating and installing rigid conduit, reading electrical drawings, and troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing environment where every project is different.

This is not repetitive production wiring. Success requires craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to think through electrical installations rather than simply repeating the same task every day.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

Entry-Level Electricians

• Learn ACECO electrical standards and manufacturing processes
• Develop confidence reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Build rigid conduit bending and installation skills under experienced electricians
• Complete electrical installations safely while continuing to grow technically

Experienced Electricians

• Independently complete electrical installations and conduit fabrication
• Perform accurate rigid conduit bends with minimal waste and rework
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve build issues
• Support less experienced electricians while maintaining productivity and quality

What You’ll Do

Industrial Electrical Installation

• Install electrical systems on custom overhead cranes and hoists
• Wire motors, control panels, festoon systems, push-button stations, and related electrical components
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Support electrical testing and equipment commissioning

Rigid Conduit Fabrication & Installation

• Measure, bend, thread, and install rigid conduit for custom electrical systems
• Plan conduit runs that are clean, accurate, and efficient
• Install conduit in accordance with NEC requirements and engineering drawings
• Fabricate conduit layouts that support both functionality and craftsmanship

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot electrical systems during manufacturing and testing
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve electrical issues
• Assist with electrical modifications and continuous improvement initiatives

Quality & Safety

• Follow NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Verify electrical installations meet quality expectations
• Maintain organized work areas and proper PPE usage

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Electrical apprenticeship, vocational training, or technical school preferred

Experience

• Entry-level through senior industrial electricians are encouraged to apply
• Industrial, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or controls experience preferred
• Experience bending and installing rigid conduit strongly preferred
• Residential and commercial electricians with strong conduit experience will also be considered

Technical Skills

• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience wiring industrial electrical systems
• Strong conduit bending, threading, and installation skills preferred
• Troubleshooting experience is a plus

Licensing

• State electrician license preferred but not required

REQUIREMENTS

• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
• Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
• Eligibility to access export-controlled information where applicable
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment
• Ability to meet the posted work schedule and required hours
• Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when in shop areas
• Willingness to complete required safety and compliance training
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform confined space work
• Ability to operate or work around forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work on your feet for extended periods

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing environment
• Exposure to moving machinery and electrical systems
• Occasional exposure to heat, noise, vibration, and airborne particles
• Required use of PPE in designated areas

Work Location & Schedule

This role requires availability to work full-time hours on-site (no remote work available) Monday–Friday, 5:00AM–1:30PM.
