Position Summary

A growing manufacturing company in the Wixom area is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support production operations through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, control circuits, motors, drives, sensors, and production equipment.
• Install, modify, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, panels, and machine controls.
• Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, blueprints, and testing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and assist with programming modifications as needed.
• Maintain VFDs, servo systems, relays, contactors, and automated machinery.
• Support equipment startups, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns to production and management teams.
• Assist mechanical maintenance personnel with equipment troubleshooting when required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Card preferred, but equivalent industrial electrical experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, electrical distribution systems, and automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting automated production machinery.
• Familiarity with FANUC robotics, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens controls, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Manufacturing, automation, plastics, automotive, or industrial production environments.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Industrial robotics and automated assembly systems.
• Equipment installation and startup support.
