Job Overview:

Industrial Electrician - Direct Hire

• Schedule - multiple shifts

• Pay: $28.00 - $33.00/hr.+ (starting rate is dependent on prior experience and training)

• 2nd Shift Premium: +15% shift differential

• 3rd Shift Premium: +12% shift differential

• Regular overtime available

We are currently seeking to hire an Industrial Electrician to join one of the longest standing industrial manufacturers in Pittsburgh. In this position you will perform electrical maintenance work in a mill type environment.We're ideally looking for candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting experience and some exposure to PLC's and other automation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment or finished product electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment and systems.

• May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make minor adjustments to equipment.

• Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays). Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, or electrical computer-controlled equipment.

• May input or perform PLC programming.

• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.

• Performs advanced repairs, troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components of production equipment and facilities infrastructure

• Installs electrical panels, relays and switches

• Reads and troubleshoots basic PLC programming

Education and Experience:

• 3 years of experience performing electrical maintenance work in a production environment – Steel mill or foundry environment would be preferred.

• Technical schooling degree in electrical maintenance or related field.

• Capable of testing and troubleshooting Electrical applications
