Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Electrician to join our team in Ocala, FL. In this role, you will assemble, wire, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized control systems and high-power electrical equipment for advanced wastewater purification systems. Key Responsibilities
Assemble, wire, install, and test electrical control panels, PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control centers (MCCs) for industrial wastewater treatment equipment.
Wire and integrate pumps, blowers, sensors (pH, flow, pressure, turbidity), automated valves, and high-voltage power distribution components.
Read, interpret, and work from complex electrical schematics, engineering blueprints, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and technical specifications.
Perform systematic troubleshooting and diagnostic testing using multimeter, megohmmeter, and oscilloscope tools to resolve electrical and automation faults with minimal downtime.
Execute rigorous quality control, pre-commissioning checks, and scheduled preventive maintenance on all system components in full compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local codes.
Maintain clear technical documentation, maintenance logs, and redline schematics to reflect operational changes.
Collaborate closely with mechanical assemblers, process engineers, and field service technicians to ensure seamless equipment build and deployment.
Qualifications & Requirements
3+ years of proven experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in water/wastewater, chemical processing, OEM machinery manufacturing, or industrial automation environments.
Strong working knowledge of 3-phase power systems (up to 480V), low-voltage DC control circuits, PLC ladder logic, and industrial motor controls.
Proficiency with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, NFPA 70E safety practices, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols.
Strong mechanical aptitude, technical problem-solving ability, and precise attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in industrial environments, and support flexible scheduling or overtime during system commissioning as required.
