Job Overview:

Industrial Electrician

Location: Holland, MI

Job Type: Contract (6 months to start, potential extension)

Schedule: Full-time, 45–55 hours per week

Summary

We are hiring an Industrial Electrician to support the assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning of custom industrial equipment. This role requires strong electrical skills, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.

Work Schedule

  • Start time: 7:00 AM (work until finish)
  • Typically no more than 10 hours/day
  • Up to 5 hours on Saturdays during the first month (tapers off afterward)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial equipment per approved designs and customer specifications
  • Document build changes, issues, and progress
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Support ISO and quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with the project team
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Safely perform:
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Circuit and wiring diagnostics
  • Wiring to NEC standards
  • Schematic reading and interpretation

Requirements

Skills

  • Basic computer skills
  • Intermediate experience in:
  • Panel building
  • Machine wiring
  • Schematic interpretation
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on/under machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Maintain a steady and safe work pace

Licenses/Training

(Training can be completed on the job)

  • Hi-Lo / Forklift
  • Aerial Platform
  • Overhead Crane
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 4+ years electrical experience (preferred)
  • Vocational/technical electrical training (preferred)
  • Journeyman’s card (preferred)
