Position Summary
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems and components supporting industrial manufacturing equipment and facility operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and minimal production downtime in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical hardware used on industrial equipment, including:
- 120V and 24V sensors
- Switches, push buttons, and pilot lights
- Relays and contactors
- Motors and transformers
- Cables and associated components
- Maintain and repair facility and equipment power distribution systems, including:
- 480V and 120V transformers
- Circuit breakers
- Fuses and related protection devices
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems and communication interfaces, including:
- Ethernet
- DeviceNet
- RS-485 and RS-232 serial communications
- Diagnose and repair cabling and connectors for equipment and assembly pallets.
- Layout, fabricate, and install electrical conduit and related hardware for facility and equipment installations.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable electrical and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed or experienced Electrician with a minimum of 8,000 hours (5–10 years preferred) of industrial experience.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC hardware troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for facility and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with Arc Flash safety standards.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and aerial lifts (scissor and bucket lifts).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
