Industrial Electrician
Position Summary
One of our manufacturing clients in the Ashland City area is in need of an Industrial Electrician. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the facility. This role supports production operations by ensuring electrical infrastructure, machinery, and facility systems remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. The position will also assist with facility maintenance, grounds upkeep, and mechanical support as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, conduit, panels, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving industrial machinery, motors, controls, and support equipment.
- Perform electrical work on systems up to 480 volts, including three-phase power distribution.
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Install and maintain conduit systems, wiring runs, disconnects, breakers, and electrical components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and automated equipment to minimize downtime.
- Support machine installations, modifications, upgrades, and equipment relocations.
- Perform facility maintenance tasks, including lighting, electrical infrastructure, building systems, and general upkeep.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and facility improvement projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders accurately.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and management teams to support operational goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or electrical certification preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
- Ability to safely work with electrical systems up to 480V.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
