Description
Vermont Cider Company is seeking a 3rd Shift Industrial Electrical Technician. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repair, on highly technical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00am to 6:30pm. Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours plus shift differential!
Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Complete work orders and provide maintenance/electrical support.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and VFD controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools.
- Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
- Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements; Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up time.
- Utilize Guide TI to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including sourcing and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
- Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPI's.
- Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safe work practices are used at all times and to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Comply with all VCC policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted within local, state and federal laws.
Requirements
Education/Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED and electrical experience required; 3-year industrial electrical/programming experience, two-year technical degree and or licensed electrician preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience troubleshooting motor control and mechanical systems
- Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley (preferred) PLC’s, VFD’s, instrumentation and other industrial control components preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics required.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six-sigma analysis), propose, and implement remedies; ability to perform calibrations, installation, and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
- Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred.
- Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing, and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes.
- Ability to work overtime, second or third shift, and to provide support after hours as needed
