Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Location: Manteno, IL

Hire Type: Contract to hire

**Shift ***: 1st shift *

Compensation: $32-$38/hr

Industrial Electrical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for keeping production equipment and electrical systems running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, wiring, control panels, relays, breakers, and circuits
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce equipment downtime
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and automated production equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Support new equipment installations and production line upgrades
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
  • Ensure electrical work meets applicable safety and electrical standards
  • Partner with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs

  • Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC experience preferred

  • Ability to use multimeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree in a related field preferred

  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
