Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and identify potential challenges.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes.
Maintain and update a database of historical costs and pricing for future reference.
Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrical estimator in an industrial setting.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation processes.
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant certifications or a degree in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus.
