A Day in the Life of an Industrial Development Intern (Starting May 2025)
As an Intern you will gain knowledge of Norfolk Sothern’s Industrial Development process. Interns will work closely with our team of engineers to help with preliminary engineering analysis and industry track design. Students should be familiar with engineering drawing software such as Microstation/AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat are preferred. Interns will be asked to gather and analyze data, identify challenges, and provide conceptual solutions to land development projects. Interns are tasked with providing preliminary engineering plans and exhibit drawings to aid in facilitating growth along our rail lines. Interns will also assist in the process of updating and maintaining our industrial site database.
