This Industrial Electrician provides hands-on leadership of industrial control field installation projects requiring 6 team members or less. This role is responsible for work planning, project contributions and oversight, NEC Compliance, customer service, and mentoring of the installation team. Coordinates with customer contacts and/or Project Managers to execute projects and ensure customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe working environment at all times for crew members and adheres to OSHA and EOSYS safety standards.
  • Works with other project stakeholders to establish work plans, prepare work schedules and employee assignments with focus on quality, schedule, productivity, and career growth.
  • Must possess skill and knowledge in the operation and installation of complete wiring systems found in industrial complexes.
  • Must have the ability to interpret and apply National Electrical Code, local codes, building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and trade formulas.
  • Ensures organization of job site and project related tools/inventory. Assists in troubleshooting of electrical components, instrumentation, and control system commissioning.
  • Maintains a daily report record of daily tasks on each project.
  • Anticipates problems and proactively comes up with solutions.
  • Work at or above the journeyman level in order to effectively train team members.
  • Implements plans for transport of personnel, tools, and materials.
  • Acts as the customer point of contact for project planning and execution as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year technical school, trade school, electrical journeyman certification, contractor's license, or other related industry certificates or licensure.
  • OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training and Safety.
  • Five or more years of experience in any of the following or equivalent experience:
    • Industrial electrical maintenance
    • Industrial electrical construction and/or service
    • OEM experience with major manufacturing companies
    • System Integration and/or Automation equipment installation
  • Capable of achieving a Master Electrician or Electrical Contractor certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

Skills

  • Project management.

  • Reference and interpretation of electrical codes (e.g. NEC, NFPA).
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics and control diagrams.
  • Strong electrical fundamentals.
  • Mechanical and layout skills with enclosures, conduit, and tray.

  • Working periodically in an attic or crawl space.
  • Working in wash-down locations with wet/slippery floors.
  • Must be physically capable of operating company vehicles and equipment safely.

Work Schedule


Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Flexibility often required for short notice schedule changes. Regular travel and overnight stays are required for projects out of town.
