Position Overview:

Are you anIndustrial or Commercial Electrician

who wants to learn automation? We are looking for a hands-on, dependable installer to run pipe, pull wire, and hook up custom control panels in the field. If you understand basic electrical theory and know how to read schematics, we will train you on the advanced controls and instrumentation side!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Pipe & Wire Installation: Run conduit (EMT/Rigid), route field wiring, and pull wire to connect industrial control panels at customer sites.

  • Panel Modifications: Physically modify, mount, and re-wire existing electrical panels and backpanels in the field.

  • Motor Controls & VFDs: Install and wire pump control systems, including motor starters, contactors, relays, soft starters, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

  • Instrumentation Setup: Mount and wire process instrumentation like flow meters, pressure transmitters, and level sensors.

  • Field Troubleshooting: Find and fix broken wires, blown fuses, bad relays, and grounding issues under minimal supervision.

  • Emergency Response: Drive a company service truck to handle local field travel and overtime on short notice for emergency client repairs.

  • Safety: Follow strict industrial safety rules, including NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Background: Experience as an Industrial Electrician, Commercial Electrician, or Plant Maintenance Tech. (Note: Purely residential experience will not fit).

  • The Baseline Skills: Strong understanding of basic electrical theory, 3-phase power, 480V, 24VDC control loops, and electrical schematics.

  • Physical Field Labor: Must enjoy physical outdoor/onsite work, bending conduit, pulling wire, and maneuvering heavy objects.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Willing to work overtime and participate in an on-call emergency rotation.

  • Soft Skills: Great communication and a professional, customer-focused attitude on client sites.
