Job Overview:

SUMMARY:

Serves as technical resource for chemical related issues in manufacturing activities. The primary functions are to provide technical support in cleaning, machine lubricant and coolant, waste treatment and process related instrumentation and equipment. This position supports product teams to cut cost and improve both the quality and delivery of products.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **

include but are not limited to:

  • Develop cleaning processes for new and existing parts.

  • Develop and conduct rework processes (de-rust, de-stain and de-burr) for parts.

  • Develop and monitor machine oil, coolant and detergent applications.

  • Create and standardize process and testing documentation, including internal and external lab testing procedures and operation instructions.

  • Support product teams in dealing with customers and suppliers regarding specifications,

    processes and equipment.

  • Participate in Area Improvement Team (AIT) meetings and generate ideas for improvements.

  • Develop and maintain training materials.

  • Understand and follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

  • Support EMS compliance.

  • Coordinate hazardous waste disposal.

  • Research and generate data for cost cutting for oil, coolant and detergent usage.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry.

Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications.
