Industrial Automation Sales Engineer


Are you a dynamic industrial automation sales professional who is looking to lead the business development and sales efforts for a business unit of a leading industrial automation company?  If so, we have the perfect job for you!


We are seeking a highly professional and energetic industrial automation sales professional with a passion for interacting with engineers, purchasing, and senior management and who will promote our capabilities to provide Control System Integration, Custom Assembly/Test/Material Handling Automation, and Manufacturing Information solutions.  You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that expands our engineering services business segment.


This is a Wisconsin-based position (hybrid), with a national territory.  This position is a base salary plus commissions-based position with extensive travel.


Your day-to-day job duties will include:

  • Prospect and develop relationships with new customers using a consultative sales approach.
  • Develop and implement a sales and business development plan to build a customer base.
  • Define, initiate, and execute account strategies. 
  • Promote ongoing engagement/communication with customers to promote company's capabilities.
  • Lead complex negotiations.
  • Attend trade shows to promote business.

Have experience in working with multiple stakeholders in an organization, including senior management, engineering, project managers, purchasing etc.

Have experience in prospecting and business development in an industrial automation or related technical field.



Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 year degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience in industrial automation or related field.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Outlook/Microsoft Office products.
  • Hold valid driver’s license with ability to drive to client sites.
