Position Summary
The IT Deal Integration Lead is accountable for the end-to-end planning and delivery of technology integration activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business transactions. This role serves as the primary IT leader throughout the deal lifecycle, from technology due diligence through Day 1 readiness and Day 100 integration execution.
The position combines IT integration leadership with program management responsibilities, ensuring successful execution of integration strategies while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, data, and operational standards. The Deal Integration Lead works closely with Corporate Development, business stakeholders, target organizations, and IT workstream leaders to drive integration outcomes, manage risk, and enable business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Technology Integration Leadership
- Serve as the single point of accountability for all technology integration activities associated with acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and strategic business transactions.
- Lead technology workstreams from due diligence through Day 1 readiness, transition services management, and Day 100 integration milestones.
- Act as the primary liaison between Corporate Development, business leaders, target company stakeholders, and internal IT teams.
- Establish and execute integration strategies that support business objectives while minimizing operational disruption and integration risk.
Technology Due Diligence
- Lead IT due diligence activities including evaluation of applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data architecture, cloud platforms, IT operations, and vendor ecosystems.
- Identify key technology risks, dependencies, costs, and integration opportunities.
- Develop executive-ready due diligence assessments and integration recommendations.
- Provide technology insights supporting investment decisions, transaction planning, and post-close integration strategies.
Integration Planning and Execution
- Define integration roadmaps, critical milestones, workstream deliverables, and readiness criteria.
- Build and maintain comprehensive integration plans, including dependencies, resource requirements, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate activities across infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity management, workplace technologies, enterprise applications, data platforms, and IT operations teams.
- Ensure technology initiatives are delivered according to established scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
Program Governance and Risk Management
- Establish and lead governance structures, steering committees, workstream reviews, and executive status meetings.
- Manage program risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are implemented.
- Facilitate executive decision-making through clear recommendations, impact assessments, and escalation pathways.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, status reporting, decision logs, and stakeholder communications.
Day 1 Readiness and Cutover Management
- Lead Day 1 planning and execution activities, ensuring business continuity throughout transition periods.
- Develop and coordinate detailed cutover plans, rollback strategies, contingency procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Facilitate readiness assessments, rehearsals, and command center activities as required.
- Ensure successful transition of users, applications, connectivity, and support services.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to assess transaction-related risks and establish Day 1 security requirements.
- Ensure implementation of required security controls and compliance obligations.
- Oversee technology remediation activities and track post-close risk reduction efforts through Day 30, Day 60, and Day 100 milestones.
Operational Transition and Post-Integration Support
- Coordinate transition of integrated environments into standard IT support and operational processes.
- Ensure onboarding into ITSM processes, monitoring platforms, CMDB updates, service ownership, and support models.
- Support hypercare activities and transition responsibilities to steady-state operational teams.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve M&A integration methodologies, templates, and playbooks.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience leading complex IT programs, enterprise technology initiatives, integrations, or transformation projects.
- Experience managing cross-functional technology workstreams across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data, and operations domains.
- Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale integrations, migrations, cutovers, or transformation programs.
- Experience influencing stakeholders at business, technical, and executive levels.
- Experience operating within matrixed organizations and leading teams without direct authority.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or carve-out transactions.
- Experience conducting IT due diligence and post-merger integration planning.
- Experience supporting global business operations and geographically distributed teams.
- Familiarity with Transition Services Agreements (TSAs), technology separation planning, and acquisition integration frameworks.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office or remote work environment and regularly collaborates with global business and technology teams. The role may require participation in meetings outside standard working hours to support international stakeholders and transaction activities.
Education Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
