The Shift Process Technician in Manufacturing Development supports fabrication processing at the forefront of innovation for the world’s leading memory and storage solution provider, Micron Technology. Process Technicians are responsible for monitoring the wafer manufacturing process, conducting process analysis, and collaborating on yield and efficiency solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all required safety training and conduct work in accordance with safety policies.
• Drive wafer processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely deliverables, collaborating with teams to achieve innovative goals.
• Collaborate with area engineering on workstation and operational enhancements; monitor key bottlenecks and priority processes to ensure efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving; provide troubleshooting support for complex issues; analyze data to make critical process decisions.
• Assist in training new team members and provide ongoing training as advised by leadership.

Other Responsibilities:

• Willingness to work any shift.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off).
• Adaptability with job responsibilities and shift assignments.
• Willingness to work additional overtime to support business needs.

General & Physical Requirements:

• Sustained Standing: Up to 10 hours per shift.
• Intermittent Walking: 1-5 miles per shift.
• Mobility: Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Flexibility: Ability to perform tasks while bending, crouching, or kneeling.
• Alertness: Ability to see and respond to potentially dangerous situations.
• Punctuality: Ability to report to the site as scheduled.

General & Physical Requirements - Fab-Specific Requirements:

• Protective Gear: Clean room garments (100% of the time) to protect products from human contamination. Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and occasionally required to wear a chemical apron and face shield (approximately 1% of the time). Examples include, but are not limited to, Photo Resist bottle changes and CMP slurry bottle changes.
• Lifting: Ability to lift 25-40 pounds regularly (10% of the time).

General & Physical Requirements - Remote Operations Center (ROC):

• Work in an office-based operations environment, handling up to 25 online manufacturing systems and data analysis, rather than physical hands-on operations of equipment
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often sitting for extended periods
• While the position is primarily office-based at a computer workstation, it may require some works in a cleanroom environment in the Fab
• Assignments will vary between ROC and in-FAB, ~80% of time in ROC and ~20% of time in-FAB

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Excel; typing speed exceeds 40 words per minute

• Capability to communicate efficiently both in written and verbal forms
• Proven time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal direction

Preferred Qualifications:

• AAS or AS degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management and 2 years of industry experience; or equivalent military training and experience​​
• Proven expertise in identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving root causes of basic problems
