The Ice Cream Parlor Manager is a full-time leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operations of our parlor. This individual will be leading a team of part-time employees while delivering an exceptional, community-centered customer experience. Our ideal candidate is a dependable, people-focused leader who is comfortable managing younger staff, thrives in a high traffic environment, and takes ownership in their workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Model outstanding customer service. Handle escalated customer concerns professionally
- Monitor product inventory and place orders as needed
- Manage high-traffic periods efficiently, maintaining an organized and welcoming environment during peak hours
- Foster a positive, trusting, and inclusive workplace for all employees
- Build and maintain weekly employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours
- Lead the recruitment process for new parlor staff. Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet customer demand
- Uphold standards for cleanliness, food safety, and operational efficiency at all times
- Maintain clear and timely communication with staff, leadership, and customers
Experience
- Prior experience in management, preferably in food service
- Strong organizational skills
- Weekend availability for on-call troubleshooting or coverage as required
- Must have the ability to stand, move, and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift
Schedule
- 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday: weekend availability as needed
Pay: Dependent on experience, hourly
