Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Hydro Test Technician to help ensure critical pressure relief valve components meet strict quality and safety standards before they go to customers.
In this role, you'll perform hydrostatic pressure testing, inspect components for defects and leaks, maintain quality documentation, and play a key role in delivering reliable industrial products. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, testing, quality inspection, or mechanical experience looking to grow their career in a stable industry.
✅ Perform hydrostatic pressure testing on valve components, subassemblies, and assemblies according to engineering specifications and procedures.
✅ Set up and operate hydro-testing equipment, gauges, fixtures, and related tooling.
✅ Identify hydro-test requirements through SAP using Hydro Indicator and Design Pressure fields.
✅ Calculate and verify required test pressures based on design specifications.
✅ Monitor pressure levels and hold times to ensure compliance with quality standards.
✅ Inspect parts during and after testing for leaks, defects, and nonconformances.
✅ Document failed tests and communicate issues to production and quality teams.
✅ Mark approved components and prepare tested products for the next manufacturing stage.
✅ Dry and preserve tested components to prevent corrosion and product damage.
✅ Maintain accurate testing records and quality documentation.
✅ Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
✅ Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain an organized work area.
✔ High School Diploma or GED
✔ Basic computer and data entry skills
✔ Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical procedures
✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
✔ Good communication and organizational skills
✔ 1-3 years of manufacturing, testing, quality inspection, assembly, or industrial experience
✔ Experience working with pressure testing equipment
✔ Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with valves or pressure-containing equipment
✔ Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
✔ Experience using gauges, measuring devices, and testing equipment
✔ Technical training in manufacturing, machining, testing, or a related field
