Technician – Mechanical / Electrical / Hydraulic

Position Summary

The Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation support of hydraulic and electromagnetic braking systems as well as switch machine equipment used in rail applications. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude along with electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills. Hydraulic experience is highly advantageous.

This is an on-site position and is not remote.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and maintenance of hydraulic and electromagnetic brake systems
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of switch machines
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support field service activities and customer installations
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
  • Work collaboratively with a small technical team to meet customer and project requirements
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic repair and troubleshooting
  • Hydraulic experience is preferred
  • Technical training, trade school, or equivalent hands-on experience is advantageous
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard shop equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within North America
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
