JOB DUTIES- Comply with all safety requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture.

  • Perform and assist in the maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
  • Assist with repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Assist in warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
  • Assist with rebuilds HVAC & applied equipment.
  • Refrigeration Systems: Service, install, troubleshoot, and safely handle refrigerants using standard safe practices and adhering to federal refrigerant guidelines as well as documenting any transfer of refrigerant.
  • Cooling Towers and Chillers: Service, install, maintain, clean, and trouble shoot water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and their associated condensers and cooling towers, piping, and insulation.
  • Steam: Service, install, maintain, clean, and trouble shoot steam piping, control valves, condensate return systems, and insulation.
  • Air Handling Units: Service, install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, and insulate, including but not limited to, supply air fans, return air fans, exhaust fans, and makeup air fans.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 2-3 years’ HVAC Mechanical Experience

  • Vocational/Technical HVAC training
  • EPA Universal Certification,
  • HVAC Certification
  • EPA Refrigeration Certification
  • Must possess and maintain HVAC license issued by state of Kentucky.
  • Must be able to read and interpret and complex drawing and detailed specifications, etc. and carry out complicated written instructions in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment and technical skill to plan and perform difficult work when working near power sources and electricity or when only general guidance is available.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain an active Kentucky HVAC license and related certifications within a defined period of employment (training and support provided by company).
  • Candidates who already hold these licenses/certifications are strongly encouraged to apply; however, candidates with the right experience who are motivated to pursue licensing will also be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).

  • Regular lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.; pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching, repetitive motion, and frequent use of hands/feet for coordination.
  • Frequent head/neck rotation and upper body twisting.
  • Visual acuity to read gauges, documents, and inspect machinery.
  • Tolerance for high-heat environments (90–110°F) and ability to work in these conditions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
