Garrhs has been keeping Southern Colorado homes and businesses comfortable for years — you've probably seen our trucks around Durango and La Plata County. We keep growing because we hire the best, and our customers notice.

Now we need the leader who takes our service department to the next level. You'll grow and lead a residential service team — recruiting, training and developing the best HVAC technicians in the region — and set the tone for the whole department every day.

And here, you're not just an employee — you're an owner. Garrhs is is employee-owned, so when the company grows, your share grows with it.

What you'll do

Build and lead the service department: own its performance, culture and results
Recruit, hire, train and develop field technicians — and hold the team accountable to high performance standards
Work with dispatch so the right technician goes to the right job, every time
Set clear goals for technicians and coach them to hit them (revenue, close rates, callbacks, customer reviews)
Run regular team meetings, ride-alongs and hands-on training
Step in on escalated customer issues and make sure every customer walks away happy
Partner with leadership on flat-rate pricing, maintenance agreements, truck stock and standard job procedures
Track department numbers and report on what's working and what needs fixing
Bring more energy than you take — you set the tone for the entire department

5+ years of residential HVAC service experience, including 2+ years leading or supervising technicians
Strong technical knowledge of heating, cooling and ventilation systems (EPA 608 certification required; NATE certification is a plus)
A track record of building teams, driving performance and hitting business goals
The ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in the people you lead
A customer-first mindset and the ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
Clear, confident and decisive communication — with technicians, customers and leadership
Comfortable with computers and field service software and Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Able to pass a background check and drug screen
