Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 

  • Under general supervision, uses blueprints, drawings, and/or Pro Engineer/CAD designs to create models according to established specifications and assemble HVAC prototype units.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of models using precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Under general supervision, uses blueprints, drawings, Pro Engineering/ CAD designs to create models according to established specifications.
  • Creates, designs, and constructs tools and parts in a variety of materials.
  • Performs minor repair on model making machinery.
  • Assist technicians in visualizing concepts or finished products.
  • Inspects parts and determines if parts meet requirements of standards, and specifications.

 

Qualifications

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years of related experience in a prototyping environment. EPA Certified for refrigerant
  • Excellent knowledge of leak checking HVAC equipment, use of vacuum equipment and charging equipment with refrigerant.
  • Excellent knowledge of, HVAC electrical wiring, electrical terminal termination and use of terminal crimping tools and reading wiring schematics and point to point wire drawings. 
  • Superior brazing skills, copper to copper, copper to brass, copper to aluminum, aluminum to aluminum and stainless to copper.
  • Ability to run CNC copper tube bender and end forming equipment as well as coil bender.
  • Ability to use and read tape measure, calipers, use of fractions and decimals.Excellent oral and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of models using precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
