HVAC Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Queens, NY (Projects across NYC/Boroughs)

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 (Based on experience)

About the Role

A well-established mechanical contractor in Queens is seeking a motivated, self-sufficient HVAC Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. You will handle projects from the initial bid through to completion, managing both independent estimating and the office-side project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating: Review plans/specs, perform piping and sheet metal takeoffs, analyze quotes, and compile accurate proposals with minimal review.

• Project Management: Oversee won bids through completion (submittals, shop drawings, purchasing, equipment coordination, and change orders).

• Field & Meetings: Attend job site walkthroughs and represent the company in owner, contractor, and architect/engineer meetings.

• Collaboration: Interact with vendors/subcontractors and provide timely project status updates to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in HVAC estimating and project management.

• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HVAC system design, sheet metal/piping fabrication, and proficiency in MS Office, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

• Core Traits: High integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects independently.

• Requirements: Valid NY driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a background check.
