Job Overview

We are seeking two dependable Commercial HVAC Pipefitter Helpers

to join our team for a large-scale commercial project. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of experienced HVAC Pipefitters, assisting them with the installation, assembly, and maintenance of commercial piping systems (including chilled water, hot water, steam, and refrigerant lines).

This is a contract-to-permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Pipefitters: Support journeyman pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of commercial HVAC piping systems.

• Material & Tool Handling: Gather, transport, and organize pipes, valves, fittings, tools, and industrial machinery across the construction site.

• Pipe Preparation: Assist in cutting, threading, grooving, and grinding pipe sections to exact specifications under direct supervision.

• Staging & Support: Help position, lift, and secure pipe segments and hangers into place.

• Site Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to OSHA and company safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of verified experience working on a commercial construction site (prior experience as a mechanical, plumbing, or pipefitter helper is highly preferred).

• Tools: Basic understanding of hand and power tools common to the construction trades.

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs consistently, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights or in confined spaces.

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and reliable transportation to the job site.

• Mindset: A strong desire to learn the HVAC pipefitting trade and a positive attitude toward everyday teamwork.
