Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in industrial HVAC systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that support our production facilities.
Duties:
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial HVAC, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, RTUs, etc.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure consistent performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Ensure all HVAC systems are operating within regulatory and safety standards, particularly for food-grade environments.
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS/BMS) to optimize energy usage and environmental control.
• Work closely with other maintenance personnel, production teams, and quality assurance to support food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation as required by internal policies and regulatory bodies (FDA, USDA, OSHA).
• Participate in on-call schedule for emergency repairs
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial HVAC systems, preferably in a food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated facility.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, PLCs, and automated control systems.
• Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, confined spaces).
• Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and elevated platforms.
