The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supporting Kewaunee Fabrications, located in Kewaunee, WI. This role will be expected to act as a liaison between team members and leadership to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations. The HR Manager will be the HR leader in a plant of less than 300 union production employees and office employees and will support recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management and other HR functions.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Support the business unit area by promotion, communicating, and implementing HR strategies and initiatives within the Kewaunee Fabrication team.

  • Build and maintain influential relationships with the Union Bargaining Committee and all team members to be an effective business partner.

  • Consult with business unit management in the strategic planning process and development of HR strategies that support the business needs.

  • Provide guidance on employment law, coordinate performance management, and resolve employee relations issues.

  • Acts as an expert on HR policies and procedures such as payroll, staffing, benefits, compensation, team member development and recruiting.

  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of team member work results by training manager to coach and discipline employees.

  • Lead labor relations effort, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective action; coordinate Union grievance process

  • Responsible for the administration of the collective bargaining agreement, through resolving disputes, handling grievances, assisting throughout the negotiations processes, etc.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Global Compensation & Mobility, etc.) and business leaders across a complex matrix organization to deliver integrated people solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.

  • Eight (8) or more years of relevant HR experience.

  • Prior experience working in a union environment.

  • Prior experience working in a matrixed organization structure.

  • Ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The following represents general working conditions for this office-based role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.

  • This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.

  • Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.

  • Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.

  • Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
