HR Manager – Manufacturing Plant

Location: Louisville, KY (Fairdale area)

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: On-site

About the Role

Our client is a global manufacturing company establishing and expanding operations in Louisville, Kentucky.

They are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead human resources strategy and daily HR operations for a manufacturing plant. This role will work closely with plant leadership to support recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with plant operational goals

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly workers, technicians, and management staff

• Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA)

• Oversee training and development programs to support workforce capability and career growth

• Administer compensation and benefits programs including payroll, overtime policies, and benefits plans

• Maintain HRIS systems and ensure accurate employee data and reporting

• Act as a liaison between corporate leadership and the local manufacturing team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

• Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and employment regulations

• Experience supporting plant operations and hourly workforce recruitment

• Excellent communication and employee relations skills

• Fluent English is required

• Spanish or Mandarin language ability is a strong plus

Additional Information

• Position is on-site in Louisville, Kentucky

• Occasional travel may be required

• Ability to support production schedules and plant operations when needed
