We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist (12:00pm – 9:00pm) to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Human Resources and based in Newark, DE.

The HR Generalist will work alongside the HR Manufacturing team to support multiple locations within the Operation and Service organizations. This position will be focused on helping to create a productive, safe, and healthy work environment. The HR Generalist will also work with employees and managers to address and investigate employee relations issues, support the HRIS system, assist with training and development, change management, and the creation and implementation of HR initiatives and programs.

In this position you will create effective partnerships with all levels of employees and leadership, acting as a change agent. The successful candidate will have a strong employee relations background and be an advocate to the organization driving initiatives that are aligned with the HR strategy, company's strategic priorities, and core values.

Additional Comments: This position will work a split shift between 1st and 2nd shifts initially, then transfer to 1st shift.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily human resources support to multiple locations within the Bloom Manufacturing Center of Delaware while partnering with the HR team to ensure global alignment of all policies, procedures, and programs
  • Deliver day-to day employee relations support with counseling and coaching employees and managers (e.g., disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, career development, termination meetings etc.)
  • Investigate workplace complaints and allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and hostile work environment
  • Conduct onboarding and off-boarding functions to include facilitation of new hire orientation and exit interviews
  • Participate in candidate interviews, evaluation, and selection processes
  • Promote Bloom culture and assist with implementation of employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain employee records via HRIS system (Workday) and compile HR reports as needed
  • Create and update job descriptions to ensure they are current and compliant
  • Facilitate training programs to meet overall organizational needs
  • Administer hourly promotional and contractor conversion processes
  • Attend weekly operations headcount meeting to understand hiring needs
  • Perform floor walks to build relationships with manufacturing personnel
  • Track, document, and audit corporate training requirements and benefit enrollments
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state labor regulations
  • Provide Workday support to employees and management
  • Assist with HR Operations processes such as leaves of absences, employment verifications, workers compensation etc.
  • Additional project work as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in HR roles with generalist responsibilities, preferably in a manufacturing/operations environment
  • Good project management and organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and "Customer Focus" with ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees and vendors
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience being able to manage confidential information
  • Proven ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced environment
  • Operates with a high level of personal and professional integrity
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment and compliance regulations
  • HRIS system experience (Workday preferred) and high proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate to all of the organization’s facilities.
