Job Overview:

This position is intended to be a full time position.
  • Strong emphasis on developing and maintaining positive, professional relationships with all employees.
  • Work with management on employee counsel and opportunities for growth.
  • Assist employees and management with information and interpretation regarding Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Assist and coach supervisors and employees with sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Conduct investigations when needed and advise legal and appropriate action.
  • Keep abreast of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations and assure compliance.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to understand compensation trends and other Human Resource trends as they relate to our industry.
  • Recommends continuous improvements to HR processes and procedures to ensure a Secure and Effortless experience for our customers.
  • Communicate effectively and actively seek and provide feedback.
  • Participate in organization, staffing and special Human Resource projects.
  • Create and run reports through HRIS as needed/requested.
  • Prepare required/requested reporting for human resources information distribution to appropriate sources (i.e., EEOC, Vets 4212, Affirmative Action Plan).
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and events.
  • Assist in designing and conducting training and development programs.
  • Organize and maintain personnel records.
  • Enter/approve new hire data and update employee data as changes are made.
  • Ensure labor law poster compliance at all facilities.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of labor laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.
  • Knowledge of classification and compensation systems, employee relations, benefits and workers compensation.
  • Ability to recognize and manage confidential and sensitive materials in a secure manner.
  • Effectively participates as part of team, assisting as appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Achieves a customer focus by delivering high quality, cost effective service.
  • Serves as a role model and coach to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Bachelor degree in business or related field with emphasis in Human Resources or an equivalent in experience in the Human Resources field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Minimum of four (4) years as a human resource generalist including HRIS computer programs, employee relations and recruiting.

  • Stand/walk 1-4 hours a day, and/or sit 5-6 hours a day.
  • Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Must be able to occasionally bend, squat and climb.
  • Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
