The Co-op position serves as a development opportunity at our Pensacola, Florida chemical manufacturing site with the Global Pine Chemicals organization of Kraton.

Key Responsibilities

This HSES Co‑op role provides hands-on support for critical Security Vulnerability Assessments and Industrial Hygiene initiatives across U.S. sites, helping ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management. The position offers project-based experience in data collection, coordination, and reporting while contributing to high-priority, cost-saving efforts driven by immediate business needs.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

Deﬁne and complete 1-2 large projects within the rotation period.
Gain knowledge of the Company's operations and provide technical support as needed.
Participate in departmental team meetings.
Create and deliver end of semester presentation/report to senior management and executive leadership.

Required Skills

Keen focus on personal and physical safety.
Committed to completing the rotational program.
Able to work off hours if needed/necessary.
Must have basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail, and Project.
Must be willing to work with others and have a positive attitude in a manufacturing or office setting.
Possess a basic understanding and knowledge of academic discipline.
Learn, apply knowledge, and skills to the performance of [Insert Division].
Able to research and integrate new ideas into the business.
Display effective business communication skills, (oral, written, instructional, and presentation) as well as the ability to work on cross-functional and/or geographically dispersed teams.
Must demonstrate personal initiative to complete work without missing deadlines and communicate and follow-up on the status of projects and other work assignments in a timely manner.
Able to organize and prioritize project and work tasks. Project Management skills or classwork preferred but not required.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore, junior, senior) student pursuing a bachelor's degree in academic discipline or related field of study.
Maintain a 3.0 GPA.
