Job Overview:

The HSE Compliance Manager manages the company’s processes and systems that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards and policies. The position reports to the Director of HSE.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Champions the company’s H.S.E.&T program in all aspects of work performed to provide quality service in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conducts and facilitates periodic reviews of HSE processes, programs, policies, procedures, work instructions and related forms.
  • Identifies key systems and processes that drive HSE compliance and monitors their effectiveness.
  • Implements and manages an oversight methodology that ensures compliance processes and systems.
  • Participates, reviews and advises on audits, assessments and investigations for HSE compliance.
  • Identifies HSE compliance issues that require follow‐up or investigation.
  • Provides guidance to promote HSE compliance regarding vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Acts as primary liaison for all regulatory matters with various agencies (local, state and federal) including but not limited to OSHA, and determines appropriate responses and actions under the direction of Director HSE, Legal and Human Resources, where appropriate.
  • Keeps abreast of pending regulatory developments, trends and best practices through continuing education, agency publications, and other sources of reference; develops new methods to implement changes within the organization.
  • Reviews and analyzes relevant content within customer contracts or agreements (MSA, acknowledgements, etc.) to verify compliance and perform gap analysis.
  • Applies for, maintains, and administers radiation licenses with State, Federal and various other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensures that Cudd districts with radioactive materials maintain properly trained Radiation Safety Officers and Authorized Users in accordance with the various laws, regulations, license requirements, industry standards, and PPWI.
  • Audits Cudd’s licensed facilities for adherence to the various laws, regulations, license requirements, and industry standards.
  • Coordinates with the Cudd HSE Trainer the relevant training materials and qualifications of trainers for those materials.
  • Creates, modifies, and maintains Cudd Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions for the Radiation Program.
  • Creates and maintains a digital database of all records that are regulatory required to be retained for historical and audit purposes.
  • Manages department employees with delegation of day to day duties as listed above.
  • Performs any and all job duties as assigned by supervisory personnel including general labor, as necessary.
  • This position is required to perform safety sensitive functions as defined in the CES Drug and Alcohol Plan.
