Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel Inc. is seeking a HR Controller based out of Little Rock, AR. The individual in the role will manage all financial and human resources operations. Responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while also managing HR administrative functions such as recruitment and benefit programs. Responsibilities include both Accounting & Finance and Human Resources:
- Manage accounts payable, including processing purchase orders, verifying invoices and issuing payments to vendors
- Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and follow-up payment terms
- Provide all information to our CPA to ensure timely completion of quarterly-end close processes
- Manage state and local taxation matters, incl. FET
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Develop and monitor budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with all state and federal record-keeping requirements.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, workers' compensation, and leave entitlements (FMLA, sick leave, etc.).
Requirements:
- A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA/MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar accounting role in a manufacturing environment, ideally in vehicle or machinery production.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS-Office and HR/accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
