**Hoist Technician 

**

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Hoist Technician for our Madison location.

Location: East side of Madison, WI

Pay: $18+/hr

Schedule: 1st shift

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• General working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including 12V, 120V, and 240V systems, as well as lockout/tagout procedures
• Construction knowledge preferred, including a basic understanding of anchoring, concrete work, and excavation procedures
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays, occasional after-hours work, and some weekend requirements (typical hours are 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Ability to operate equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, telescoping lifts, and skid loaders
• Safety-oriented mindset with the ability to obtain a 40-hour OSHA certification
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and operate a truck and trailer combination
• Ability to lift required weight limits, work in a labor-intensive environment, and work from ladders and scaffolding
• Welding, acetylene torch, and metal fabrication skills are a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• General computer skills, including email communication and transferring job-related documents and photos
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to obtain an Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Inspector certification within a designated timeframe
• Perform work on automotive hoists, suction pumps, and pressurized pumps

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a solid mechanical and electrical/electronic background with computer experience. The ability to work independently, collaborate within a team environment, and provide excellent customer service is essential.

This position requires some overnight travel and participation in an on-call rotation.
