The position will be responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. Daily work will involve heavy industrial lifting, lifting waist high, gripping with hands, moving at a brisk consistent pace, and occasional bending.

You may be requested to work in the yard on off days when you are not working the route.

Generally work 4-5 days per week.

Requirements:

• Be able to lift 70+ lbs. throughout a 10-hour shift.

• Must be able to work in a very fast-paced position in all weather conditions.

• Must pass pre-employment drug test

• Must pass Sex Offender Search

• Must be reliable and show up to work on assigned days on time

• Must wear steel toe boot.

Ideal candidate:

• Will assist Driver in collecting waste from residences and businesses in a safe, courteous, professional manner.

• Will assist the driver in backing the vehicle, cleaning the vehicle cab, daily records, and help clean up any spills.

• Will be subject to extreme weather conditions, repeated heavy lifting, pushing and pulling totes/receptacles to and from truck to the designated area of customer.

• Must be flexible in hours of operation from holidays, weekends, and overtime. He/she can or will be subject to High Traffic Areas at times, must wear required PPE at all times, must have good communication skills.

Job Types: Temporary

Salary: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Day shift

• Monday to Friday
