We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Chambersburg, PA, 17201. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery to support our construction and excavation projects. Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe work environment.
• Document work activities and report any issues to management promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor as needed.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
