**Heavy Equipment Mechanic **

Our client is seeking a Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain municipal equipment such as refuse trucks, street sweepers, and sewer equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service

• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and recommend repairs

• Weld and fabricate parts or attachments as needed

• Document repairs accurately on work orders

• Communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and supervisors

• Support service and delivery schedules by keeping equipment operational

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Assist with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience repairing heavy or municipal equipment

• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Basic to intermediate welding and fabrication skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented and safety-focused

• Ability to manage time independently and meet deadlines

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties
