Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Pay: $38.05/hr

Shift: First Shift

Location: Chicago, IL 60617

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic for our maritime client to start immediately at $38.05/hr. Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy mobile equipment (forklifts, cranes, loaders)
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
• Repair components including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Support shop and field repairs to meet operational needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Personal tools required to perform job duties

Skills

• Component repair and replacement (major assemblies)
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics
• Use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
• Shop equipment operation (e.g., cranes, welders, heavy-duty hand tools)
