Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanic to support maintenance and repair operations on a wide range of equipment including heavy equipment, semi-trucks, over-the-road cranes, forklifts, manlifts, and other industrial vehicles.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Overtime May Be Required

Pay: $22 – $26 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment, semis, cranes, forklifts, and related vehicles
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Remove, disassemble, repair, and reinstall components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, pumps, and hydraulic systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical parts including bearings, valves, gears, starters, and brakes
  • Troubleshoot electrical and ignition systems
  • Perform brake work, suspension repairs, and front-end alignments
  • Utilize diagnostic scanners and tools to identify equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical background with experience on heavy equipment, semis, cranes, or industrial vehicles
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Preferred Certifications & Experience

  • OSHA-10
  • Brake Certification
  • Forklift Certification
  • AC Certification
  • Crane or heavy equipment repair experience strongly preferred
