Reporting Relationships The Material Handler will report to the Plant Supervisor. This role has no direct reports.

Position Summary
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. It is a fast paced position that requires prior experience. This position is responsible for the safe and effective handling of materials, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. The Material Handler will operate various types of equipment, including wheel loaders and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement of goods throughout the facility. Attention to detail is essential, as the role involves order picking and inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels. Ultimately, the Material Handler contributes to the overall productivity and success of the supply chain by ensuring that materials are handled with care and efficiency.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work is moderate to light difficulty, fast paced, physically demanding, and will be inside as well as outside. This position is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. Material Handlers must be able to operate a steering wheel, hydraulic levers, and foot pedals. They must be able to observe their immediate area for safe operation of mobile industrial equipment in crowded areas. Occasionally, they may be asked to maneuver items by hand and be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to hear, speak and sit up to 8-10 hours per day. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel must be able to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, push/pull as required. . Specific vision abilities are required for this job including close and distant vision. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate to loud with hearing protection required. | |
