Heavy Duty Diesel Technician Requirements:
- 4 + Years of Repair Experience working on Medium/Heavy Trucks (Class 4–8), Municipal/Public Works Vehicles/Equipment required
- Own tools required
- Diagnostic / Troubleshooting experience required
- Basic Computer Skills or Fleet Software experience required
- CDL B required
- 1 ASE (Medium/Heavy Truck) OR able to obtain within 90 days required
- Willing to ObtainDOT Med Card (Within 6 Months) preferred
- Road tests, PM, and Diag/Repair preferred
- Experience with Work, Service or Part Ordering/Documentation preferred

Responsibilities of Heavy Duty Diesel Technician:
- This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 4–8 trucks and fleet vehicles in both shop and field settings for a municipal operation
- Responsibilities include working on commercial vehicles such as box trucks and tractor-trailers, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs on engines, air/hydraulic brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Additional duties include handling roadside repairs and mobile service, conducting road tests, and completing work orders and documentation
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- As a diesel technician you will work in a clean safe environment
