Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and staff assignments.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and staff.
• Monitor inventory levels and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
• Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
• Prepare reports on shop performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a management role within a heavy diesel repair shop.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and repair techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
