Heat Treatment Operator

Position Purpose

The Heat Treatment Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring heat treatment equipment to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, production requirements, and company policies. This position supports efficient production by maintaining process control, minimizing defects, ensuring on-time order completion, and promoting a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Setup and Operation

• Set up, operate, and monitor heat treatment equipment and related production machinery.
• Verify machine settings and process parameters before production startup.
• Perform required start-up checks and release production according to approved quality procedures.
• Shut down and secure equipment in compliance with safety requirements.

Production and Quality Control

• Process production orders according to work instructions, production plans, and customer requirements.
• Monitor production runs to ensure compliance with quality standards and process specifications.
• Conduct inspections and verify product conformity throughout the heat treatment process.
• Approve and release parts after completion of required inspections.
• Initiate corrective actions and report production issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Package finished products according to established packaging instructions.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Adhere to quality management system requirements, work instructions, and operational standards.
• Maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects, complaints, and repeat errors.

Workplace Organization

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Practice good housekeeping standards and support workplace efficiency.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and maintained.

Performance Expectations

• Produce quality parts that meet customer and company specifications.
• Complete assigned production orders on schedule.
